Vegas, baby!!

Our flights are now booked!

I wanted to fly with one of the Star-Alliance airlines so we'd get usable miles, so our choices were United or Swiss... more than one person said United is very cramped for international flights, and that Swiss had far superior service ... but United prices are lower.
Fortunately I found a United codeshare flight operated by Swiss, so we're booked on that...
We fly via Chicago, to Las Vegas, where we'll spend 3 days and 4 nights, including an aerial trip out over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. Yeeeha!
My boss was recently in Vegas, and on his return gave me a $1 Hooters casino chip, so I guess I'll see if I can get lucky in Hooters (bet you never thought you'd hear me say THAT :) ).

Then it's on to Los Angeles for 2 days, and San Diego for a day and a half before we settle into our long-term temporary apartment in Mountain View. We'll be staying there from July 9th until October 21st.

Turning to more current events - it's Passover. We went to friends last night for the first seder - quite a mix of nationalities/ethnicities/languages there, which made for a really nice evening. Tonight we're going to the Rabbi for 2nd night seder, and we've been warned it's going to be a long event.
