poignant moment

As you know, I'm a keen cyclist ...

I'm sure you all know who Lance Armstrong is - 7 times consecutive winner of the Tour de France. And I'm sure you all have seen him on TV, or in the news, in his cycling gear. And I'm sure you all know that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1996, which had spread to his lungs and brain. But he miraculously overcame that, and went on to become the most successful Tour de France victor ever.
This picture is an advert from one of his sponsors - Nike. It really needs no explanation whatsoever - just some quiet time for reflection on life. Your own life. For his story is in some way, inspirational to us all.

With the right key, you can sing in any flat ...

A friend of ours is visiting from London, as she has some business to attend at 16h00. I'm going to assist her with translation, so I came into work really early this morning.
The positive about coming in early is that the traffic is free-flowing.
The negative about coming in early, is that one tends to be more asleep than usual.

I forgot my office keys at home, so had to wait 10 mins outside before someone let me in, and another 35 mins sitting on the floor outside the office waiting for a colleague to arrive to open up.

Still, at least I get to leave early :D

And ... it's raining here again :-(
